What is ear wax and blocked ears.

Our ears are normally self-cleaning, ear wax is also normal and is formed to create a protective layer within our ear canal. As wax builds up it slowly gets moved out of the canal from any movement related to the jaw and naturally falls out or lays in the concha (the entrance to the ear).

If there is too much of a wax build up, it will need to be removed as it can cause pain, discomfort, deafness or ear drum perforation.

We all produce different amounts of ear wax with some having excessive amounts, this can be caused for a number of reasons such as dry skin, dusty conditions/work environment, to medical conditions or even wearing hearing aids.

The services we offer will allow us offer you a method that best suits you.

**Please note however water irrigation cannot be performed for 6 weeks after having an ear infection, an alternative method can be used instead.
